Sensero-868 AC + Sensero-868 AC Plus
A weather sensor for every situation

elero develops multi-talent for every weather

The engineers at elero have developed a true multi-talent: The new weather sensor Sensero-868 AC unites light, twilight and wind functions in one compact device. A new feature is the measurement of wind speed using an air-flow sensor on the underside of the device. This records the strengths of the side wind and frontal wind, transmitting the corresponding control signals to the receiver. Thus it was possible to dispense with a wind wheel. The Sensero-868 AC Plus model is equipped with an additional rain sensor that reacts quickly and reliably.

Individual possibilities – quickly set up
The multi-sensor is not just economical because of its price-performance ratio, but also due to its low level of installation complexity. The Sensero-868 AC may be mounted quickly with the aid of a swiveling wall holder on the façade or on the roof; it may also be affixed to a mast. Thanks to radio technology there is no need to lay a control cable, merely a power cable. The signals are then transmitted on the secure 868.3 MHz frequency, either between the Sensero-868 AC and drive or between the wall-mounted or hand-held transmitter and drive. The possible candidates here, for example, are the VarioTel Plus or the LumeroTel from the elero ProLine series. These transmitters are also used for the time-saving teaching-in of the sensor. The thresholds for light, twilight, wind and rain are set ex works; they may, however, be easily adjusted to the conditions at the respective location using the relevant potentiometers. The Sensero-868 AC may be set for various operating modes. It is delivered in awning mode, but a shift to visibility protection mode is possible in just a few seconds.

Awnings: Protected against rain, wind and weather
When used with awnings the Sensero-868 AC Plus shows what it can do: In awning mode the light sensor permanently measures the solar radiation and thus ensures optimum shading. In addition, with the aid of the sensors the Sensero-868 AC Plus protects an awning against stormy gusts of wind – and for the first ever also against rain. In this respect the integrated rain sensor quickly and reliably sends the signal to retract the awning.

Venetian blinds: Comfortable sun and visibility protection
With venetian blind the elero engineers recommend usage in visibility protection mode. In addition, the light sensor controls the blind during the day in line with solar radiation: With direct sunshine the blind is closed. When the light values fall beneath the pre-set threshold, the sun protection is opened again.

On an evening there are three possibilities to close the blind: The hangings may be lowered manually at the push of a button or using a timer switch. Alternatively there is a control for a twilight function: With this setting the light function is superseded by the twilight function as soon as the preset threshold is reached. This means that the blinds are automatically closed at twilight and remain closed.

On a morning the light function guarantees reliable sun protection again following a manual or time-controlled open command. Alternatively the user may simply wait: If the lightness value is exceeded, the slats are turned, letting in the sunlight. The light function is now active and keeps the blind closed with direct morning sunlight. The venetian blind is only opened again when the light intensity falls below the pre-set lightness value. At the same time, the overriding wind function protects the venetian blind against damage night and day.

One for all
Thanks to the light/twilight, wind and rain sensor, the various operating modes, as well as the universally adjustable thresholds, the functions of the new weather sensor may be adapted effortlessly to the respective location and customer wishes. Thus the elero developers have attained their objective with the Sensero-868 AC and the Sensero-868 AC Plus: Designing weather sensors for every situation and with an excellent price-performance ratio.
